Spawn Station Retail Space + Town Mayors

Hey guys, Chief here (some of you might know me as chiefbozx). I’m the other admin on the server and have an exciting announcement for you today.

As Frumple said in his video tour of Spawn Station, the large, spacious areas around the Green and Blue Lines’ levels were intended to be used for retail zones, or small shops. Over the past week, I’ve been working on building up those retail zones, and today I announce that they are finally complete. Each zone can be claimed by one or more users, and there are 31 retail zones throughout the station. You can see all of the retail spaces in the video below, or in the station itself.

To get a retail space, just ask me or any other staffer. You will need to give the staffer the zone code for the retail space you plan on using, which can be found on the sign on the outside of each retail zone (for example, spawn-3-1). You can’t modify the walls, floor or ceiling of your retail zone, and all server building rules apply. In addition, there is a limit of one space per user, and joint shops count.

In addition, I’ve started to roll out town mayors. If you’re the mayor of a town, you should notice an appropriate tag showing up instead of the orange [Member] tag within the next couple of days – this will allow you to be more identifiable to your town’s current and future citizens. If you see duplicate tags, please let me know so I can make sure that everyone is accounted for exactly once. Finally, if your town needs protection, let me know and I can arrange it.

Have fun!
