As most of you know, a lot has been happening regarding “B29 Station” – a station that exists in kekkomatic’s recent book, The Mystery. (If you haven’t read it, you can get a copy from me.) The story revolves around a pumpkin causing broadcasts of “Now we’re closer :)” and “kekko, please log off, i have to close the server”… and a lost city.
In light of this, tons and tons of signs and advertisements relating to “Now we’re closer :)” and “B29 B29 B29…” are appearing all around the server. After doing a bit of work, we (the staff) have been able to resurrect the lost station of Cactusville, the true south terminus of the Blue Line.
So, yes, B29 does actually exist.
If you go to Nanthaven and one stop east, or just use the updated warp booth, you will find yourself at the new Cactusville Station. There is an adventure map there that kekkomatic has been working hard on over the past few days, and we encourage you to play through it. You can bring groups, but please make sure you’re in Adventure Mode, and contact staff when you finish so we can reset the map.
In case you didn’t get that, B29 exists and is here to stay as the southeast terminus of the Blue Line. So, yes, that was what we’ve been playing all along. 🙂
Along this note of Halloween-related events, the Pretty Scary Update (1.4) has arrived. With it come a whole slew of new changes, like carrots on a stick and potions of night vision, that many of you will enjoy using. Unfortunately, neither CraftBukkit nor our plugins (WorldEdit, CommandBook, etc) have updated – and we have to wait for them before we update. If you need a 1.3 jar file you can get it from assets.minecraft.net.
The server will go back to day-night cycle tomorrow at midnight, my time. Enjoy! -chief
I’m back to making videos, sort of. In this episode, I follow-up on the MRT glitches I mentioned in the last episode, introduce the new changes at Spawn Station including the new teleport booths, and finally explore the new Shopping Centre at G8 Station.
Update (Apps build b4b6cbd): Yes, we know that the apps are being weird and not being displayed. We’re working on fixing them as quickly as possible, so please be patient.
Hey guys, Chief here, and the wait is over. Member applications are finally open again!
You can apply at www.minecartrapidtransit.net/apply/apply.php by filling out the form. Do note that we are in the process of transferring everything from the Google spreadsheet to the new database, so redundant/banned apps won’t appear for a few days.
If you find any issues, please let me know via email at chiefbozx@. Snapshot episode will be up in a couple hours. See you on the server!
(If you’re interested to see our 1.4 update plan – here it is.)
Just a quick news post announcing an addition to the Conductor rank. Conductors may now place water buckets and ice. Lava is still restricted to Moderators only. This change is to help alleviate water/ice requests to Moderators, so please try to ask a Conductor instead of a Moderator for these sort of things.
We have temporarily closed member applications once again, this time to upgrade them to be in-house, locally managed member apps. This means that the applications will (hopefully) become easier to manage on our end, and easier for you to complete as well. (Although we will be redoing the rules test, so make sure you read through them before applying!) We are estimating that apps will be back up within a week or two, and we’ll keep you posted through the blog and the Snapshot as usual.
Until then, please feel free to join up as a Guest – in fact, doing so increases your chances of becoming a member as then the staff can get to know you a little better.
See you soon –
