Minecraft 1.4

I know you guys are very excited for 1.4. I am too – there are tons of new awesome things coming out that I can’t wait to play with on the server.

However, we have to wait for Bukkit and our plugins before we can update. It’s much like our 1.2.5 to 1.3 update. However this time we’re going to wait a little longer to ensure that plugins will work without crashing the server (there have been some very interesting incidents…), which will further delay our update process.

We can’t give an exact estimate as to when we’ll be able to update, but we will probably be ready to go by the end of the month if all goes well. As usual, we’ll keep you updated. For now, though, we’re still on 1.3.2.

If you have updated your Minecraft client to 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 and wish to continue playing on the server, please follow these instructions to downgrade:

  • Back up your Minecraft folder (world saves, mods, JARs, etc).
  • Visit http://assets.minecraft.net/1_3_2/minecraft.jar
  • Place the file “minecraft.jar” (which will automatically download) in your .minecraft/bin folder, then launch Minecraft. You will not be prompted to update.

Hopefully this should alleviate some confusion and allow you to continue playing. If you want to have multiple saves, I encourage you to check out some third-party launchers such as Magic Launcher or MultiMC.
