July 2023 GSM Results

Here are the results of the July 2023 GSM.

New Conductor

Two Conductor candidates were considered at this GSM: ProCallMeJr and chimata. ProCallMeJr was not promoted by a 3-8-1 vote, whilst chimata was promoted by a 8-4-0 vote. Congratulations to chimata on becoming the server’s newest Conductor.

New Moderator

One Moderator candidate was considered at this GSM: DNAmaster10, who was promoted by a 12-0-0 vote. DNAmaster10 had previously served the community as a Conductor for a year so we’re very glad to have him now on the Staff team.

Footpath rules

A proposal by DNAmaster10 to introduce legislation for footpaths as a new inter-town build was introduced. It was agreed that footpaths will be allowed, and a section will be added to the website stating “”Intercity footpaths will need to be proposed to staff regardless of length. 300-500 block rule applies and permissions from nearby mayors must be obtained.”. At a future GSM the staff team will consider a proposal by SimonScholar to standardise intercity construction (including roads, rails and footpaths) to standardise and simplify the rules page.

Worldedit brush radius increase

A proposal by FredTheTimeLord was considered to raise the maximum radius of worldedit brushes from 10 to 25. This was approved, noting that conductors can already carry out worldedits of up to 150,000 blocks so this increased radius does not create any additional risk.

11th Anniversary Survival Server

Frumple has announced a temporary MRT Survival Server for members only, using the new Delta Server announced at the June 2023 ASM before the main server is migrated. This will launch on July 13th and will last for at least a month. More information is available here.

Next Meeting

The next GSM will take place on Sunday, August 13 at 7pm UTC. Conductor applications and moderator nominations must be made by Sunday, August 6 at 7pm UTC, and topics for the agenda must be submitted by Friday, August 11 at 7pm UTC.
